After studying Art History at UNCG, Julia spent several years working for local editorial and agency clients. Her early work with magazines and retail clients gave her a sensitivity for a wide range of aesthetic needs and production requirements. She moved to Los Angeles in 1999, expanding her experience into the television commercial and independent film sectors. Valuable lessons learned in California include the limitless scope of creative direction and location production.

Back to North Carolina in 2005, Julia renewed an early interest in home furnishings, and has worked for various large and small studios in the production of still photography, as well as space planning for showrooms. Currently, her work is a balance between larger furniture projects and tabletop/soft product styling for apparel retailers and wholesalers. She brings a universal and keen sense of composition to the photographic medium, as well as an approachable modern style for her various clients. Julia is a strong believer in sharing ideas among coworkers, and mentoring as a means to include, and even improve the local production scene.

Julia loves cats, a lot. Art too. She has more recently switched from collecting mid-century chairs to collecting mid-century lamps. A night out invariably means catching up over beers at Café Europa in Downtown Greensboro. She also considers the perfect lamb tagine something to aspire to, in home cooking.
